Connor Laycock on Crozzle Slab V0 over at Stanage Plantation. Lovely little climb and Connors first time outdoor climbing. He started great, picking up grits quirky style fast. I reckon Connors gonna have some stories to tell in the coming years with how strong he’s going.

Shame about the weather, lucky he doesn’t seem to bothered by being swarmed by about 500 midges and mad humidity cutting our session short. To be fair the first thing he asked me back at training a few days later was when we were next heading out, pretty surprised not gonna lie.I mean I was joking with the centre owner saying I should take all first timers outdoors so he’d get traffic with how my recent trips have been going!

Sam’s birthday yesterday and after months of repair work on his injury, he got closer than sin to topping out his latest project grade. Brilliant to see people still getting better at climbing even when injured, just learning technique and focusing the other aspects of climbing is so important, something I think we all over look sometimes.

Got this snap the other days as during the heatwave, nice to finally get back into the groove. Haven’t taken many pictures I thought were worth sharing so hopefully with the climbing coming up I’ll get some pictures I feel you will enjoy.

I kind of forget sometimes how much green there actually is at The Roaches, it’s such a beautiful spot. I’ve always said it’s my favorite spot but obviously it’s all down to personal opinion. I think your favorite spot is always the first one you go to, your local crag always holds a special place in your heart, like your first love; it just captivates you, feeds your love for the outdoors and adventure.

Always feed your good things in life, it’s all just one big moment that we need to start making it worthwhile
