Will Murphy back at Churnet Valley, trying to finish up this gem before we head to the alps. It’s nice to go back to a crag you spent so much time at, mainly because you remember the little pieces of beta that took you months to figure out and you cruise up old projects; But also because it makes you realise maybe it’s time to get back on the moon board!
An old climb I’ve been battle with on and off (mainly off) is Simple Simon V8 so it’s kind of up there like. But Jesus, I thought i’d got stronger but I just got smarter with my climbing, I still fall off the same move but now, with the help of a local, I’ve figured out what I think will be my beta. It makes me remember the old quote by our main man Einstein of doing the same thing over and over expecting different results, sometime you don’t need to be stronger to make the move, just smarter.
